Ours began with a feeling.

In the late 1980s, Linda and Edward found themselves drawn to the rhythm of Chicago. The streets, the people, the mix of ambition and warmth. It was a city that rewarded hard work and valued character. Somewhere in that energy, a quiet dream started to grow. A dream of creating something of their own. Something honest. Something lasting.

They believed clothing could be more than something you wear. It could be something you return to. A familiar favorite. A reflection of who you are and how you live.

In 1990, after years of saving, learning, and taking careful risks, Linda and Edward opened their first boutique in Chicago. It was small. Modest. But every detail mattered. Each piece in the store was chosen by hand, with patience and intention. Quality came first. Fit came second. And comfort was never negotiable.

As seasons changed, the boutique grew. Collections evolved. New faces walked through the door. But the heart of Linda & Edward never shifted. Trends were observed, not chased. Decisions were made slowly, guided by experience and instinct rather than urgency.

Clothing, to Linda and Edward, was never about making a statement.

Today, more than three decades later, that same belief guides everything we do. Every garment we offer carries the same care that once filled a small Chicago storefront. The same standards. The same quiet confidence.

This year marks our 36 year anniversary. Thirty six years of trust, loyalty, and shared moments. Of customers who grew with us, returned to us, and made Linda & Edward part of their everyday lives.
